Campbell River School District

School District 72 is located in beautiful Campbell River, a scenic oceanfront city on the east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Campbell River is a small, close-knit and friendly community with a large, English-speaking population.

Extensive waterfront, west coast forests and the snow-capped mountains of Strathcona Provincial Park frame the fourth largest city on Vancouver Island, Campbell River. The city and its surrounding area are blessed with natural beauty. Residents enjoy skiing, outdoor and water recreation activities and its close proximity to wildlife and wilderness experiences.

School District 72’s international program was started in 2005. Students receive an enriched English immersion experience, being placed with English-speaking home stay host families and experiencing day-to-day life in community with a large English-speaking population.

Campbell River School District provides students with an educational experience of the highest quality, within the schools, in the community, and in the beautiful natural surrounding of Vancouver Island. We provide long-term (graduation) programs, year-long English Immersion Programs and short-term Language/Culture Experiences As a smaller program we are able to be very flexible and meet a wide variety of student needs
