Centro de Estudios de Español (CEE) is the trademark of the Spanish department of Barna House, a language school specialised in teaching:

 Spanish for foreigners
 English, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Catalan and other languages

Barna House, founded in October 1979 as a private school, has always aimed at guaranteeing the highest levels of quality, highly professional teachers, and reasonable prices.
The school is located in the centre of Barcelona, in Roger de Llúria street, within the so-called Modernist golden square, two streets off Passeig de Gràcia and Gaudí's La Pedrera with easy access from/to any part of the city by underground, bus or bike.

The school has 13 well-equipped and comfortable classrooms specially designed to guarantee a high level of comfort for small groups (maximum 10 students per class). Students have free access to the conference room, library, multimedia resource centre and the lounge area.
Students have at their disposal the following school services:

 Computer self-access centre with: PCs, Multi-ROM, DVD.
 Free INTERNET access from 9 to 22 h. Monday to Friday and from 10 to 13 h on Saturdays. Wi-fi for students using their own laptops within school facilities.
 Library with a great variety of Spanish and foreign titles (Grammar and reference books, literary sources, i.e. graded readers and novels...).
 Newspaper archives with Spanish and foreign newspapers and magazines written in English, French, German and Japanese.
 Conference room.
 Lounge area with vending machines (sandwiches, snacks and drinks).
 Materials that can be downloaded from our website using your personal login.

All the textbooks and materials have been carefully written and selected by our teachers and are offered by the school to every student according to his/her level. The enrolment fee includes our textbooks, video and audio materials for consultation at school.

CEE has also designed an Internet-based programme where students can take practice tests and search for their own materials from an extensive and fully indexed database. For those not familiar with the system or lacking time to look for resources, the school offers a structured curriculum, which will guide students through the course according to their level
We offer:

Students can choose between our 10, 20 or 30 lessons a week programme.
Courses last for a minimum of one week.


REGULAR COURSES
All our regular courses have flexible schedules from 9 am to 10 pm and have
an average of 5/6 students per class (10 is always the maximum).

DELE preparation courses
Specific exam preparation for the official certificates issued by Instituto Cervantes according to the levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

Courses for young students
We organise complete course programmes for groups of children and young students which include:

 Spanish classes with specialised teachers.
 Accommodation with Spanish families (full or half board).
 Optional activities such as windsurfing, swimming, sailing, computers, football, etc.
 Outdoor excursions and sightseeing in Barcelona.

One to one lessons
The school offers the possibility of setting specific courses which suit the linguistic needs of professionals and specific work groups in different contexts such as translation and business

CEE has been accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and is now part of its Associate Centre Network.
